All the trimings

Days 40 - 49: June 3 - June 16, 2008

I feel behind in my blogging efforts. Now that my parents are back from Norway I have the motivation to update since they are my most loyal followers. This is not counting Erin Reichelt who asks me why I haven't posted lately.

Aaron installed the cabinets under the stairway as well as the vanity and vanity top. The electrician finished off the electrical outlets and thermostat. Aaron and Chris painted the bathroom Restoration Hardware silver sage. The trim is Behr pure white. The below photos didn't turn out that great because I had to be careful not to touch anything due to wet paint.

The left-side of the 3 cabinets under the stairs.

The right side of the 3 cabinets under the stairs.

The pocket door is great!

This vanity is going to help with storage. The light fixture is missing the shades due to painting.

I love the way the baseboard looks against the tile and paint color.

Tile

Days 36 - 39: May 28 - June 2, 2008

After the in-floor heating passed inspection, Jed poured the self-leveling compound which took a couple of days to cure. On Monday, June 2, I came home to find my bathroom floor tiled! I couldn't turn on the lights in the bathroom so the below photo is a little out of focus.

I admit that the above photo doesn't do much in way of giving you an idea of what the tile looks like. Hopefully I'll have a better photo to share after the grout is complete.

This is a close-up of the threshold into the bathroom. The grout will be pewter (aka dark gray) in color.
